I was about to say I use a damp cloth with a splash of white vinegar to clean the panes and then kitchen paper to buff to a shine.....  :D

I just put in a comma, as in Windows, 8 tips and though it was 8 tips for cleaning windows.  As opposed to the correct interpretation -  Tips for dealing with Windows 8.  I did think it was a slightly odd topic for you to open, but "slightly odd" is pretty much the norm round here most days!   ;D

After reading a book[posted] about the net, I thought about the fast pace PCs are moving and this gave me the kick up the bum to bin the old.
This one broke off this morning with 17 updates, only had it a few day's and I think it's only been on sale since May. Which was one of the reasons to buy.
One update let me choose a browser, so now Ihave the old layout and the new, job done Mell.
Spent a day finding out why the printer didn't work[long story] less than 2 yrs old. Found the disc issued for Windowa 7/xp.    Solution, download the WIZARD.

My PC has two USB slots on the front of the tower. If my cursor freezes, I can fix it by swapping the mouse cable from one USB slot to the other.  No use for a wireless mouse though!  ;D

Iwould like a pop up type warning 10 seconds before timing out , fed up with typing twice over, so again,

My old tower switch off button wouldn't work when frozen, so I always unplugged it [oh no everyone cries] but it was still working when I dumped it.
New , froze again with cursor on and tip worked again.      Thanks techy man.

When you log in, change the time to 360 minutes instead of 60.  Six hours covers everyone bar the ranters who can't type.  ;)
