Waddicor Family History
« on: 12:24:41, 30/11/15 »
I have Waddicor connections.

My great aunt Annie Wilkinson br 1898 Sherburn, Co Durham  married a Harold Norman Waddicor br 5th July 1897 Salford at Cheetham Hill Congregrational Church on December 24th 1924.They had twins Harold and Norma br 1925. Harold died in 1938 and was buried in  Cheetham Hill Cemetery.

Harold married a Mary Jones in 1950 they had a daughter Catherine M br 1952.

Norma married a Thomas Garland in 1948, I believe they had several children.

If possible I would like to make contact with any living descendants of the above or anyone who as similar interests to exchange  information etc.

Many Thanks in advance

On the BMD index I can only find one child born in Manchester 1967   Garland with a mother Waddicor.

Hi Joe, Jan's find would have been 19 years after their marriage. If they had several children they would have been born between those years. Have a look in Free BMD, there are 5 children listed Garland nee Waddicor in Buckley which was on the border of Ches and Lancs. Some of their first names may ring a bell. Also check out Cheshire BMD, some births listed as Sale but rego'd in Trafford.
Very interesting.

Thanks for that  O0

I will follow it up although I dont have names to work on but I could possibly e-mail the registrar as ask to confirm any possibles, then eliminate from there.

Regards

P.S. I have come across births of children 21 yrs after a marriage !

Hi - @Joed99 - I was googling my grandfather, Harold Norman Waddicor, just now and came across your post. I am one of the 5 children of Norma Waddicor born in Sale. What is your enquiry?
