hairdressers in manchester
« on: 23:06:56, 15/08/07 »
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site so hopefully I'll be able to chat and fit in and make a few new friends  :)

Does anybody know if there are any salons in the city that do ionic hair straightening? I know they do it in London but it would be great if somewhere a bit closer to home did it too.

thanks Emma x

don't worry, its just another method of permanent hair straightening but is a lot better for your hair than the usual chemical methods

here is some information that I have taken off the website of the Taylor Taylor salon in london that does it:

Wanting to have your hair straightened?

Taylor Taylor are experts in hair straightening using the world leading Ionic System, also known as IHR (Ionic Hair Retexturing).
Ionic, which was invented in Korea, has an advanced superior formula that is longer lasting than any other hair straightening system available. One of the keys to its success is that it still retains the water content of your hair throughout process, thus not damaging your hair.
Our team, which have been trained by Ionic System specialists, are highly skilled and dedicated to giving you long lasting superior results to ensure that you gain the maximum value for money, with results that last. Our experts have been featured in ES Magazine & the Daily Mirror and have also been featured on the television show This Morning.

How does it work?

Your treatment will be broken into three parts:
1.   Your hair will receive a pre-treatment, which will be used after shampooing; this will restore the protein and moisture content of your hair.
2.   Two cream treatments are then applied to your. Firstly a relaxer, which breaks down the structure of the hair and then leaves it ready for the next treatment process which then retextures your hair and conditions the hair to give you long lasting straight hair.
3.   Your hair will then be straightening using hair irons to give the straight hair that you want.
