World Championship Boxing
Joe Calzaghe's long-awaited super middleweight unification fight with Jeff Lacy will now go ahead at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Saturday 4 March 2006.

The X Factor
Here's your chance to capture the excitement of The X Factor firsthand and live as the eight finalists embark on an 11 date UK tour, calling in at the M.E.N. Arena on Saturday 25 February and Friday 3 March 2006. 

World Cage Fighting Championships
Eight men enter, one man leaves to be crowned the World Cage Fighting Champion. Saturday 18th March at 19:30pm

Due to the amazing success of Apassionata throughout Europe, Apassionata returns to the Manchester Evening News Arena for two performances on Saturday 25 March 2006.  The new show is filled with even more breathtaking highlights and stunning special effects. With audiences of over 500,000 within the last two years, Apassionata is undoubtedly the most successful horse show by far.

Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode have announced their 2005 - 2006 World Tour, their first in almost five years.  The band play the Manchester Evening News Arena on Thursday 30 March 2005, tickets priced £27.50. One of the biggest bands in the world today, and renowned for their groundbreaking live performances, Depeche Mode will be showcasing tracks from their eagerly anticipated new album as well as performing some of their greatest hits.

B.B. King & Gary Moore
Universally hailed as the reigning king of the blues, B.B. King, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, has just announced his last ever UK tour, with five ultra-rare dates in March and April 2006, including the M.E.N. Arena on Friday 31 March. Tickets priced £36 are on sale from 9am on Friday 28 October.

Il Divo
After what can only be described as an extraordinary 12 months Il Divo, the biggest debut act in the world this year, have announced the UK leg of their eagerly anticipated 2006 World Tour, visiting the M.E.N. Arena on Sunday 9 and Saturday 15 April 2006. Tickets priced £35, £30 and £20 are on sale now.

After what can only be described as an incredible few weeks, Westlife have announced their eagerly anticipated 'Face to Face 06' tour.  Ireland's favourite sons play the M.E.N. Arena on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April and tickets priced £28.50 are now on sale.

Celtic Tiger Starring Michael Flatley

Take That
The rumours are true. They said it would never happen…but it is. The UK's most cherished boy band Take That are set to return to the live arena, performing together for the first time in over a decade, for The Ultimate Tour 2006. Having played at the M.E.N. Arena in its opening year, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen will return to the venue for six shows - Thurs 4, Fri 5, Sat 6, Sat 20, Sun 21 and Mon 22 May 2006.

Eric Clapton
The inimitable Eric Clapton has announced plans to tour the UK in May 2006.  He arrives at the M.E.N. Arena on Tuesday 9 May, tickets for this eagerly awaited concert are on sale.

Little Britain Live
Following the tremendous start to their UK live tour, the BAFTA award-winning comedy sensation 'Little Britain' have announced UK arena dates as part of their critically acclaimed nationwide tour. Having already performed three sold-out shows at the Manchester Carling Apollo - and with another eleven still to come in 2006 - 'Little Britain Live' is now due to play the Manchester Evening News Arena on Tuesday 20 December and Wednesday 10 May.

Santana, the legendary exponent of Latin-tinged rock, will play the M.E.N. Arena, one of only two UK dates, on Thursday 11 May 2006.  Tickets priced £45.58 and £35.58 are on sale from 9am on Thursday 20 October.

Following their recent sold out tour of the UK, Texas have announced a limited number of arena dates for 2006.  Last seen here in 2001, Texas return to the Manchester Evening News Arena on Friday 12 May 2006

Harlem Globetrotters
Following their highly successful UK tours in recent years, the legendary Harlem Globetrotters are set to return to Manchester in May next year as part of a 350 show world tour that will draw over two million spectators.

Girls Aloud
Following on from their sold out tour this summer, Girls Aloud have announced an Arena tour for next year.  The Chemistry Tour takes in ten cities and includes a date at the M.E.N. Arena on Saturday 27 May.

Elton John
Elton John today announced he will be returning to Manchester to play the Manchester Evening News Arena for the first time in over two years. Elton John and his band will be performing on Monday 29 May 2006, tickets for this sensational concert will be on sale from 9am on Friday 28 October.

Dame Shirley Bassey
With an unwavering appeal that spans more than four decades and a reputation as one of the most respected, admired and loved performers in modern music, Dame Shirley Bassey is coming back to Manchester on Sunday 4 June 2006.

The Eagles are bringing their 2006 "Farewell I" tour to Great Britain with concerts next June in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow. One of classic rock's most influential bands, The Eagles will play the M.E.N. Arena on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 June 2006

George Benson
One of the world's greatest living legends in music, George Benson, returns to the Manchester Evening News Arena on Saturday 24 June.

Having played to packed shows at the M.E.N. Arena last weekend, McFly have just announced their second arena tour, returning to Manchester on Friday 6 October 2006, and now also Saturday 7 October. Tickets are priced £21.50 and the second date goes on sale at 9am on Friday 9 December.

Cliff Richard
From Tuesday 7 November to Wednesday 6 December 2006 Cliff will embark on a national arena tour taking in the Manchester Evening News Arena on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November 2006.
