Your Holy Name Church Story
« on: 11:03:55, 09/11/17 »
Hello everyone!

I am currently working on a research project looking at the history and memories of The Holy Name Church when it was a Parish (memories and stories from 1960/70/80s etc, or before!) We want to explore the cultural and religious heritage and memory that is attached to the Church.

Do any of you have memories of the Church? Were you married there? Attend a Christening there? Or any other important events? Do you have any photos of these?!

I would absolutely love to hear from you - this is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project - you can see more at the Holy Name website.

Please do start letting me know about your memories! We really want to recreate as rich as possible memory of the Parish during these years.

Thank you !

I went to the Holy Name School and church.  I made my first holy communion there and I was in the crowning group after the Whit Walks I think.  I have a photo of us crowing Our Lady's statue.
