« on: 14:26:39, 18/09/07 »
Hi all, I'm new on here today but some of you know me from another forum. Does anyone know when the German markets are on this year?  :)

Have you been to them before Roy, my son is always saying I should go there (what's yes in German - yavole, but what's the correct spelling?)

Ja, ich bin drei jahre........No seriously they are well worth a visit. There are lots of craft stalls from all over Europe, the atmosphere is great and very family-friendly and I love to sample the food, especially the brockwurst and those little pancakes with cinnamon and lemon juice - luuuurvely!! It just wouldnt be Christmas without a visit to the Manchester markets.......  :)

I shall be there in November then, I love craft fairs and anything unusual, in fact I like the antique fairs and car boot sales too but there don't seem to be any  locally

was there yesterday, still only flowers - however in Piccadilly Gardens they are putting up something, not sure if it's the ice rink though - still flower stalls around where the markets were unless they are going to Exchange Square

look at the first site underneath

I went to this the other day. Its pretty good but £3.50 for what essentially is a hot dog and £2.50 for a small polystyrene cup of hot wine is a rip off. People seemed to want to pay it though. Maybe I'm just being a scrooge  ;)
