Is it the Hollings building, otherwise known as the "toast rack" in Fallowfield, used to be part of MMU ?

Sorry Parky I read somewhere that it's being redeveloped into flats and a leisure centre

I got talking to a bloke in a pub - like you do - and he went to the Toast Rack to learn catering, so part, if not all of it, must have been a college for catering, making toasties probably

There was another building in the grounds, which if viewed from above resembled a poached egg, will try and find a photo.

Hi All,
Yes...I also went there in the early 1970's to the 'Toast rack' as part of my training. I was a commis chef at the Mariners restaurant just off St Ann's Sq at the time. I think the 'Poached egg' part of the building did design/clothing...things like that?
