Jones Street and Prescot Street in Salford
« on: 09:12:16, 28/09/18 »
Can anyone advise me where Prescot Street in 1911 was located and Jones Street in 1939.

I have searched on local maps but without success. I appreciate they are probably no longer in existence so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter, welcome to the forum.
Jones street was in Trinity Ward --after which Trinity Way was named.
On a modern map, if you look for 'Frederick street' you will also see 'Lambs Lane' which is where Jones Street was.
There is also a Jones St off Langworthy Rd -- but I suspect that is not the Jones you are looking for! Although that is pretty old and still exists.
Prescot Street I don't know, was it supposed to be nearby?
Best regards,

OldRon.
