Manchester piccadilly
« on: 10:53:29, 12/02/19 »
Hi everyone .

I'm not if anyone will know this. It's been bothering me for many years now.

Some years ago piccadilly gardens had an old sea mine near one of the entry's. Apparently it was made into a big money box .

I remember it being there when I was very young. I was around 9 years old.  There also they use to be toilets  where you went down steps. They also was near the mine. The gents  was not far from the entrance to the gardens.  I think they use to be ladies near woolworths.

Anyway would anyone know when and why the old sea mine was moved and if possible where is it now ?
it's just something I would like to know .

Thank you again for your help and time.

I don't know where it went or when, but I do remember it - bloody big thing! Wasn't near the entrance closest to Oldham St? Had forgotten all about that!
