Cars stolen off Didsbury drive
« on: 12:43:58, 06/09/19 »
My daughter and her partner had 2 cars stolen off their drive in a Didsbury cul de sac on Tuesday night after theives got in house approx 2.30 am.They had some weird man call round last Saturday asking them if they lived there as they had only just moved in :o :( :( that weekend after extensive building works.
I am furious as they took my 67 plate A class Merc, all the way from Essex! ,as by lovely hubby was there helping 2 decorate. Unfortunately all their security measures were not in place as they had just moved in which made it easier for them. THESE ARE NOW IN PLACE!
They were asleep upstairs and no one was hurt, thank goodness.
My car has been recovered, trashed, but what I'm most upset about is a Disney rubber keying on the fob which is 22 yrs old and had huge sentimental value.
If anyone has seen or found a discarded bunch of keys, long shot  I know, on a Mercedes fob pls can u hand in or contact me, don't care how they are found, just want it back.
Be careful out there  Didsbury peeps, if u have nice cars or building work be extra vigilant as these guys are watching u and are smooth operators
Thanks all, from Essex! ( I do reside in Manchester often and love it!)  :) :smitten:

Moving in/having jobs done,is what they spot. Often workmen in an open garage are targeted,or the scum see what else is in there.  Happened to a family member,I think it was 2 in a white transit who had no business in the cul de sac. just clocking before driving off.
Politicians and nappies must be changed often, and for the same reason

An update from police,  that they left gloves in car , left in a hurry as being chased, won't be long b4 DNA profile done so maybe not so clever now .
My husband is ex Met Senior  Police Officer and we know how things should be processed.
Karma will sort!!  :D :D :D
