Hi all, this has been driving me mad. Born and lived in Longsight as a child. Obviously the area has changed beyond all recognition in the last decade or so. I was thinking about a nursery school I attended as a child.
It was an old building that survived the clearances of the early 70s but has gone now. It was between Haymarket Street and Beckhampton Close. I keep thinking it had Shakespeare in the name - I know Shakespeare Walk is close by - but I could be wrong.
Myself and my siblinga went there around 1971-1973 as far as I recall.
If anybody has any pictures or information, it would be really interesting to see and hear them. Thanks in advance!
