Did Anyone Ever work for Sparrow Hardwick on Lena Street, Piccadilly?? It was my very first job as a Machinest. I loved it.

I worked at Sparrow & Hardwick very briefly in 1973, in the warehouse. I think it was Mr Sparrow who interviewed me.

 I previously worked at Alligator Rainwear -  near Gullivers pub Oldham Street in 1972.

I remember my godfather worked there years ago, don't know what year, he was called Hughie Thomas and had a little grey work van, I was very young at the time, I am 57 now.

I worked at Sparrows for 20 years and was secretary to Mr Sparrow, over 40 years ago! I was very happy there. It is now a hotel, but as the building is listed, it looks the same from the front.  There were no trees there at the front in my day. They have kept the lovely mahogany rails on the stairs and the tiles, otherwise I cannot recognise
it at all inside.  I am old now, but if anyone was there 1970's be nice to hear from you.
