There wasn't a fair this year because of the pandemic,  but it would interesting to know if people had been and their comments, there was a guy who worked at Servisair at Manchester Airport,  Jim,  he was always talking about the place.

Used to go in my teens ,always fights between mods /skinheads versus greasers .

All fairs attracted youths fighting, Heaton park was ours, Cheetham hill, Salford, Blackley, Whitefield, groups of youths were always skirmishing. Like you said Parky, mod/skin v greasers and even a few teds, that enjoyed a little resurgence at the time, but in the absence of the rocker types we were quite happy to scrap amongst ourselves.  ;D
