INTU warns shopping centres may close

Intu, the UK's best-known shopping centre chain, is warning its financial troubles could see entire sites shut.
The company has appointed administrators KPMG as a "contingency" in case financial restructuring talks with lenders fail.

Intu warns that if that happens it will have to give KPMG funds for certain services, or see the centres shut.
It has 17 UK outlets including Lakeside, in Essex, Glasgow's Braehead, and Manchester's Trafford Centre.
Intu has until Friday to sort out a new financial footing.
All that's necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

Marks,Debenhams etc,etc closeing.
This is hitting the Ladies hard. Shopping is a days event, meeting up with friends and relatives, maybe finishing up in the cafe. It can't be replaced.
The same applied to Whit Week[still watchable in "Taste of Honey"]
The City needs a Town Center event, band comp.,music, kiddy rides.
Bring Manchester back to life, back to the people,or what memories will they have.
