I don’t recall those, but does anyone remember Brannigan’s Bar in the city centre? Many a memorable night started out in there, and usually ended up in Stuffed Olive’s or the Number One Club.

Derek Akorah (Medium) went there,  upstairs a horrible voice of a man long dead angrily told him to get out as the place was his,  Akorah near collapsed.


The place is on Deansgate.

haha thanks Manx,  I had seen clips of him rushing through Philip Harben's food programmes, looked like he was fortyish made to look elderly.

Re Mr Pastry    His real name was  Richard Hearne.


When  we moved down to Warwickshire we bought an older house , and we were told that at one time it had belonged to his family.   I have been unable to find any trace of this on the internet.  He seemed to have links with Kent rather than the Midlands
