Manchester Airport
« on: 14:22:19, 01/03/06 »
Hi everyone

For help with my GCSE Business & Economic research, I would appereciate your opinions on the general expansion of the facilities at Manchester airport over the past few years.

Have you felt a benefit as the consumer?

Or have you felt the costs of the exapnsion such as noise and traffic pollution?

Thanks!

i used to work at the airport,  never noticed the noise then,  we used to cut across the tarmac adjacent to the runway,  there wasnt much in the way of shops,  one buffet bar, and a bar/restaurant where clients were taken,  so it has expanded for the better especially the travellator from one terminal to another.. All the houses along Ringway Road and near Portway would have been soundproofed,  even as far as Heald Green,  and of course there is the train service due to be improved.
