Earthquake?
« on: 01:03:45, 27/02/08 »
Pretty sure we just got hit by a quake in Manchester - the whole house shook for about ten seconds at 1 AM this morning -

Yup, I felt it too.  Im sitting in bed with the laptop, my whole room shook and my wardrobe doors opened!  It lasted about 10 seconds, felt much stronger than the one back in august.  BBC reporting that a tremor was felt in west midlands.  I wonder how big it was?

I like earthquakes.  O0  Probably because there is nothing that can be done to stop them and they are reeled off a standard template in the media "an earthquake measuring xx occurred on the Richter scale"

 O0 Job done.

Indeed!
 O0

"measured xx on the Richter scale" and all that malarkey...not much more to be said really.

Very few people understand the true nature of Mr Richters' scale....roll it off the media template....Zzzzzzzzzz....

Job Done  ;)

Slim pickings to be had in the 'quake measurement' game...one every 25 years or so and all that  ;)

Bit boring too I would imagine.
