illegally, i'm sure there are various neredowells who could get you a shooter - but a second hand fire-arm could have a history so getting found with one in your hands might bring a whole heap of trouble for you -

if he's legally entitled to buy one, there's not a lot we can do to stop him - if the motive is less ethical then the sellers are not likely to care and he's hardly going to admit to anything nefarious here - the benefit of the doubt seems practical

Perhaps this person who requires a gun, already has a duck-pond which has been taken away from the ducks by a bullying goose? If so, said person may wish to beg, buy or borrow a water-pistol to deter said goose. Alternatively, this same person might very simply wish to purchase a rivet-gun in order to build his peace-keeping ducks a warship with which the bullying goose might be either deterred, or destroyed by said warship’s weaponry.

It’s just a thought, a starting point if you like. Said gun fanatic may not wish to be seen as entirely daft as this poster, and in order to put us right about his requirements will tell us why he needs a gun.
