There used to be a shop called Rare Records, where was that?

I always call in Beatin' Rhythm and Vinyl Exchange when I go into town. Both shops near Afflecks.

How does it work, if you take in a 45 or a 78 can you choose another 45 and 78 or are they different prices?

They'll offer a deal eg straight swap or swap plus cash etc. - or you can go in empty-handed and just buy.

I have a few Madonna EPs from the eighties, are they worth anything - I like the pictures on the front though, I have a signed album too

In 2000 Madonna albums were fetching between £10 - £40. Having a signed one will bump the price up a lot especially if in very good condition. Type  record collector  into Google for lots more info.
No info on the EP's.

I've got a limited edition picture disc of Madonna 'HOLIDAY'

and a framed 8x10" American Pie cd signed and picture of her signing (she's wearing a cowboy outfit)

thanks for the Record Collector info.

I've been going round in circles trying to track down the exact location RARE RECORDS without success. I remember it being in the Victoria Station area and I've tracked it down to John Dalton Street which is where it apparently moved to in the 1970's. It's long gone now anyway. There's another shop near AP called Vinyl Revival on Hilton Street where I've visited a couple of times. Ah well, it passed an hour.

Just come back from town, always seem to end up at the Debenhams end lately, I am waiting for warmer weather  ::) so I can have lunch again at the Cafe Rouge, and sit outside,  then perhaps I may go and find something near to the Cathedral.

The Sands Hotel used to host stallholders selling all sorts of memorabilia, don't know if they still do as I rarely buy the Evening News.
