Well as expected China came top of the medals table 51 gold (total no.of medals 100)

Then the US with 35 gold (110 medals)


Russia  23 gold (72 medals)

Team GB  19   (47 medals)''

fantastic performances from our team  and the Russians didn't didn't do too badly either ;)


The Chinese put on stunning displays with opening and closing ceremonies - worthy of Busby Berkely and

I am sure London will put on an equal display.

timeshare just for a week (in Kensington) and it's always hot, love going there.


Sochi must be a holiday resort - are you going to go there?

I'm sure the whole Russia is going to go there... Is there enough room for everyone? I guess not...

Apart from a kind of resort in Far East, Sochi is our only national resort. It's 1500 km sharp from my front door.

I think they are going up the prices at European standards :)

But are they going to boost something else? People's cultural level to meet foreigners for instance... Nobody's sure I think...

well there is an upside and downside with the Olympics, I am sure Sochi will be swamped, as people will want the opportunity of saying they've been to Russia.  I shall arrive in furs, with my diamond necklace on a troika - just for a guest appearance you understand. :D

well, let me be your driver :)

I don't think you'd feel comfy wearing in furs, the winters in Sochi are not as severe as those in Siberia

But, scorching in troika along their twisting asphalted roads - would be a great fun to watch :))))))))))))))

So, something soft to wear and a helicopter to move - will go well! Diamond necklace - is more than welcome :)

yes I have one, I only dare wear it New Year's Eve, so scared of losing it, I had it sent from France, like my dress a deep red long dress with a puffball hemline
