hi i work in a day centre for older people, and i really want to get a visitor or a group to come and chat to them about the past. ie: air raid shelters, blitz, local history, anything about the past , films/ footage. unfortunatly our funds are quite low as we are saving to take them out for xmas dinner so  anyone that could do this for free would be an enormouse help. or if you know of anything i could use would be great. we are based in eccles manchester. im already appling for loan boxes from ordsall museum about war,  toys, shopping . but if you know of any groups that would sing or a brass band anthing at all. even things i could down load or print out to start my own disscusion groups at the centre. thankyou. helen ::) ::)

Doesn't Eccles have its own brass band?

Also Barton Airport (near Eccles) may be able to put you in touch with some old members who perhaps know people who remember those old times O0
