15th November 2008
Price: £40.00

Hyde Town Hall - 15th November 2008

10pm-5am

Hyde Town Hall was opened on 27th June 1885.

Architect J.W. Beaumont won a competition between six architects with his design for a building in "Queen Anne Revival" style, which would cost less than £8,000 (the limit set by Hyde Borough Council which had been formed in 1881).

We have been told of ghostly happenings at Hyde Town Hall and we want you to help us investigate!

Things have been moved by ghostly hands and staff feel uncomfortable in certain areas of the Town Hall. Ghostly footsteps have also been heard. We have unlimited access to the Town Hall including the Main Hall, Court Rooms, Old Parlour, Cellars and old Prison Cells. There is also a courtyard with an outside morgue!

The night will be packed with activities including, but not limited to:

Table tipping
Glass Moving
Dowsing
Séances
Vigils
Equipment Usage

We encourage you to bring your own cameras and/or camcorders; many of our past guests have captured some great photographs and video footage.

Please bring your own torch, as the lights will be going out and it will be dark. Please also wear suitable clothing and footwear according to the weather on the night.

Please Note: This event is for over 18's only due to insurance purposes and involves being awake all night - No sleeping facilities are provided. Hot drinks and snacks will be available throughout the night.

If you are booking more than 1 place, please fill in the attendee’s names in the comment box during checkout.
