Is Lewis's still there?  My first job was there selling stockings (can't you tell it was many years ago) and I really hated it.  I can't remember what the main street was called which went down to Deansgate.  I left Manchester over 34 years ago and have'nt been back but one day - maybe! :-*
I to worked for lewis's in 1965 for about a month in the diy dept, we parted company amicable! I remember darleks, a greyhound bus, & lady p's pink car, all up on the top floor, god knows how they got the bus up there.
