Should David Beckham be recalled to the International squad?

i only went to see Manchester United play a couple of times in the last five years, and Beckham was so inspiring, he definitely kept the other players motivated..He didnt let the England team down last World Cup.  I  am not saying he should be captain -  but he could be an inspiration for 2008,  setting an example for the newer players,  he will be past it i think for the next world cup.  I would have preferred a Terry Venables/Harry Redknapp combination as well.

He should be there in come capacity Celeste, be it playing or in an official capacity on the touchline. Team motivation is extremely important if a side is to win.

No. Maybe I should but I'm not a big football fan. My Dad was a Liverpool supporter
as he was a Scouser and proud to be one. On his death bed he asked "Did Liverpool win?"

I was in Manchester in the early to mid eighties visiting friends who worked in the advance publicity unit of a circus. I've been to the Isle of Man but that was when I was in my teens. I've been in Lancashire all right as I was in Blackpool a couple of times. The RTBI had their Annual Conference there one year and Gift Trade used to hold their Spring Fair in Blackpool before it was transferred to the NEC.

I should have been in Manchester in March this year as some members of the genealogy website RootsChat.com had a meet in the city. Last weekend they had one in Hastings. I organised one in Belfast on the 29th of July.. 14 people came. Each country in the British Isles was represented .. England .. Ireland .. Scotland and Wales.
I'm organising one for Dublin next Summer. I have friends who live at Warrington. I could come to visit them.

well, village is the expert on this as he used to live there.  Interesting - depends what you look for, it i very picturesque, quite unspoilt really, there is Lymm Dam which is used for fishing, there are about twenty pubs some on the bank of the Bridgewater canal,  its nice to pop in and out of, they are thinking of making a pedestrianised piazza at the moment, a lot of people (mainly traders) are agsinst it for parking reasons - funnily enough although it is quite arural little town, they are very near Partington and sometimes get a few unsavoury characters, and lately a few burglaries, so they want a local police presence, as they mainly come from Warrington.  They have also built a lot of new houses on the outskirts, but al-in-all it is a very pleasant place with a lot of history, including the stocks at Lymm Cross and a few ghosts

Hiya paul_massey,

Would this be a throw away comment by an armchair critic or are you a professional critic with expert knowledge on the standard of David Beckham's footballing ability?

Best Wishes,

Christopher.
