For the third year, this is being held as an "all-day" event from 1:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., and will feature 4 of the best fully live Country/Rock/Rock’n’Roll bands from the North of Britain.
The acts this year will be:
Brian Hughes and the Lonesharks, a 5-piece band from Scotland, playing mainly original material from award-winning songwriter Brian.
Cross Country, a 4-piece Country-Rock band from the North East, playing mainly Country and Country-Rock covers.
Gary Perkins and the Breeze , a 5-piece band from South Yorkshire. The band have won Male Vocalist, Instrumentalist, and Band of the Year over the last couple of years.
The Crown Top Kings, a 4-piece band from Lancashire, injecting some Western Swing, Rock'n'roll, and Classic Country into the proceedings.
There will be over 6 hours of fully live music with recorded music between sets, and in the teatime break (the music never stops!)
A professional sound system will be provided by M.T.Allan Audio
The acts have again been chosen to provide a good variation of modern country music, with self-penned material mixed in with excellent covers, which will appeal to a wide range of music tastes, and hopefully will go some way toward changing the general perception of Country Music in Britain.
It is an indoor event with all facilities including licensed bar, hot/cold food, large dance floor, comfortable seating. Accompanied children are welcome.
