I've had a look through Monty Dobkin's book 'Tales of Manchester Jewry and Manchester in the Thirties' and it lists everyone living on Cheetham Hill Road in 1934 but no-one named Stuart. I recall the spelling of the surname as it was printed on my mothers Hire Purchase payment book. Some people posting on here have access to Manchester street directories and could perhaps do a lookup for you, but only if you new the street. Which year were you conceived (don't give out your date of birth) and do you know which street your mother was living in then? It just might help.
Looking down the afore-mentioned 1934 list (the latest I have), there was a Samuel L. Klevan furniture dealer at 35 Cheetham Hill Rd., and a Sidney L. Klevan, financier, at the same address; M. Stolberg & Co Ltd had their furniture (makers) showroom at no 31, but not a single carpet dealer back then.
