I ended up at St Clare's in Blackely, couldn't wait to leave and start work, in 1971.

Good morning Parky, yes I seem to recall you saying she lived on Crescent road, but I could only recall a young lady that lived in Robin Hood st with a similar name, Jimmy knew her better than I did, I recall she was a slim, smart nice girl.  :)

Hi All.  I found this forum by accident and felt it would be interesting, I lived in Cornwall buildings Woolley st at the top of Southall st (Strangeways), I noticed a mention of Alberto Credentino, who also lived on the same landing with his mother Celia and father Biaggio who lost a foot in a railway accident, I went to school at Cheetwood primary (waterloo rd) and later to Smedley Sec, then being transfered to Heath st. At 15 I worked at the (LHD) Lancashire Hygenic Dairies as a van boy and we used to deliver to the Hospitals in the area, I was always glad when we got to Crumpsal Hospital because they always had GREAT bacon butties waiting for us, I lived in Cheetham from `59 until `73 maybe someone remembers us "the Halfpennys"

Hi, my mother Patricia Warlow was a friend of Robert Halfpenny. I remember John as well. Your mother was German and was very kind to us, I used to love her accent. I also remember Alberto and Salvo, the Hardmans, the Johnsons and the Grimshaws. I also remember Locky the Scotsman with the limp. We lived in Lancaster buildings and my name is Colin.

She was in my class, I they were related to Lucy and Ciro Magriolano, who attended Chad's, and Franco De Marco may be related, possibly.

Another few names just popped into my head, from Chad's, Danny O'Brian, John Bridgend, Gino Scia Scia and of course poor Martin Coffee.

Saunders taught me too,I wonder if he had just been demobbed, after the war.

Possibly, he was still wearing his demob suit I think ;D , seriously though I always found him firm but fair, he loved football and although strict in school, he seemed more easy going when supervising the football team, he was always smart and well presented, what a teacher should be in imp imo, Mr Keely was head when I started there and I think Sister Therese was head when I left.
