Old Schools!
« on: 09:12:00, 25/11/06 »
I thought it would be interesting if we all posted where we went to school in Manchester! Here's a photo of my old primary school (courtesy Manchester Archives) It looks like it was a cold and frosty morning...just right for making 'slurs' in the playground!! :o

I don't think it is there anymore....someone told me it had been demolished but it is still listed as a school so maybe they moved to somewhere else. Shame.
It is Temple Primary School.

The Ferry is a question for Village...I presume it went across the river!!!

Why wouldn't I go to school in Lymm?? We lived near there for a few years before moving to Dartmoor.(and after moving out of Manchester)
So you see....I have the bona fide qualifications for BOTH forums! ;) :D

I s'pose I should know some people in Lymm ???
Most of my schoolfriends lived elsewhere and our house was too far from Lymm to make socialising after school an option. Parents weren't as keen in those days to ferry their kids around on a regular basis and a two car family was probably an oddity. :-\
