It sounds like religion was biting very hard in those days and yet now we wonder what all the fuss was about
Today the tables have turned (after many meanderings) and we can't imagine royals engineering wars, as in those times, we have parliament doing it instead, much to the indignation of the population it seems, in the case of Iraq, where religion and the balance of power is still clearly gripping the population !!  ::)
