pubs violence bouncers!!
« on: 18:21:31, 21/01/07 »
:'(my best friend who i only see ever few yrs came down from London to manchester to visit me for the day.we decided to go for a curry at a restaurant near me and popped across the road for a quiet drink afterwards.
it didn't go according to plan as a girl came over asking what her problem was and why was she looking at her....you know the type.anyway my friend was punched in the face and then after ringing the police i left her for 2 Min's with the doorman while i used the phone inside the pub to phone my huband so he would collect us.i thought she was safe with the doorman but he then allowed the girls to drag my friend to the floor and be kicked in the head a few times b4 helping.to make matters worse the landlord overheard me on the phone saying the police were coming and he was fighting the phone off me and slammed it down and chucked me outed with no coat and no cash etc and with the girls still there that had violently attacked my friend.they took her inside the pub but i was locked out.she has reported it to the police and Upton now the bouncers deny all knowledge and we are waiting to see what the landlord has to Say as he was very aggressive wen he found out the police had been called.they are all a bad as each other.my friend i a lawyer too so is not used to this sort of thing

I know a few places like that - one friend was beaten up by bouncers in front of his wife and five year oid son for entering a bar with a peace rally  placard  after an anti-gulf war pacifists march - the bouncers just pounded him into the ground - he actuulally exposed them on a TV station interview a few days later and got an apology -  I've nothad such problems myself though but it's probably a matter of time - AC http://www.arthurchappell.clara.net/contents12manchester.htm

That would have been like a red rag to a bull... I don't know why business employ scum like that, it only ends up doing them no favours. Some of the bars in Deansgate Locks are terrible for that kind of doorman.

I remember the bouncer at the OASIS in Manchester when i wore a younger mans clothes
he looked so menacingly tall and big
he was so polite  and again so threatenly big
once we got inside and were dancing he would walk around with half a dozen girls hanging off his arm
good luck to him he was my brother
 hahahahah

Shezza, I used to fight the boys in my early teens, then I'd practise fighting my b rother, then I carried heavy leadlike trays in my father's restaurant, I am stronger now than I was then, try and get some self - defence lessons, it's worth it, I am a "mid-ager" now but the adrenaline I would get would scare them
