The Bowles Family
« on: 20:56:30, 20/11/12 »
I am researching my family tree.  I want to find out about my Grandfather Robert Bowles and my Grandmother Josephine (nee Hudson).
They lived at 42 Fitzgeorge Street, Collyhurst, and moved a few doors up as well.
The family was as follows,
Robert Bowles – born 1906
Josephine Alma Bowles – born 1904
Matilda May Bowles – born 1930
Robert Bowles (Jnr) born 1935
Matilda May is my Mam who is now 82
My Granddad used to go to Queens Park in the 1930s to give speeches and attend meetings.  He used to take my Mam with him.
If anyone has any info please let me know.

Hi & welcome, what would you like to try and find out? I take it you will have the family on the census & know they married in Oldham.

43 Fitzgeorge St Collyhurst.
All born Manchester.

George Bowles   44 Occupation Sawyer
Mary Bowles   43
Franes Bowles   19
Catherine Bowles 13
Rebecca Bowles 10
William Bowles   9
George Bowles   7
Robert Bowles   5
Elizabeth Bowles

There is a birth June 1/4 1904
Josephine Alma Hudson
Manchester    8d   273

But the only one i could find with a birth details as Josephine Hudson born 1904 in the 1911 was a child age 7 in Swinton workhouse?
Is this the same lass?

I am trying to locate any information on the Claytor family in Ireland or Scotland, or possible immigration information.
