I've had a quick flick through Pete, looks very detailed  O0 Bought a few books including Shaun Ryders 'Twisting My Melon' I have a habit of starting one then another & end up with bits of paper in them all  ;D

Mick Hucknall is on this list?!  WHY?
I hope this is an example of post-modern irony - or there's someone else out there with a similar spelling.

I've never thought Mick H was funny; peculiar, maybe.

Nor do I

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I love some of the old pubs, like the Peveril.  Proper ale and flat cap territory, with no fancy gourmet-burgers, SKY TV or children.  If I ran a pub, the most you'd get in the food department would be a pickled egg and some pork scratchings.  Anyone who asked for an alcopop would get an apocalypse, which sounds similar, but isn't.
