I lived on oxford street until I was 9 in 1968

Remind me where Oxford Street was? I was born (1955) and bred in Old Trafford, lived there until I was 14 on Prestage Street where Duerrs Jams was.

It was one of the streets tucked away sort of behind the Sharon church
Oxford street,duke street etc.

Oh yes, opposite the new flats (as was then, mid 60's ish) on Chorlton Road.

Not far yes.
I moved from Oxford street at 11 to Osprey court,now I found out last night that has gone too.


How sad!!

It was a full gospel church,my church as a child but in all honestly I have no idea where the name came from x
