Hi, The bike shop was owned by JOHNNY BERRY.   If you Google Johnny Berry there is a good article all about the business plus photos of the shop under the heading of Classic lightweights UK

My Grandparents owned the Newsagents & tobacconists further along Wilmslow Road at #201

I grew up in Rusholme in the 60s ......great times

love the pic of Whiteheads (painting & decorating)
my uncle used to go there for all his supplies

Does anybody remember a lady called Bella (last name unknown),who lived on heald place rusholme in the 60/70s,she had a daughter called Caroline who had a boy and a girl Caroline would be about 73ish now,in around 1972 they both worked at the Salvation Army furniture depot on hulme st Manchester,Bella was a volunteer there

Just found this group we lived on Hancock Street (Parkerís) my uncle was Brian Pound, had several cousins on the same street, the Walkers and the Hughes, be good to find out if anyone on here remembers us. Me and my 3 younger brothers went to Heald Place before moving to Moss Side on the new council estate and then to Birley High.
