Albion Hotel, Picadilly, Manchester

Does anyone have any info on the Albion Hotel that used to be in the Picadilly area of Manchester?

I am particularly interested in any connections it had with the Tollemache family in the mid-late 1800s.

All info very gratefully received.

Hiya casaianda,

Is the Tollermache family that had connections with the Albion Hotel the same family that inherited the Cheshire estates of Sir Thomas Wilbraham of the Wilbraham family of Woodhey? When he  died in 1692 his Cheshire estates, including the manors of Mottram and Tintwistle and the lordship of Longdendale, were inherited by his son-in-law Lyonel Tollemache, the Earl of Dysart in Scotland.
