Best/ worst areas to live in Manchester
« on: 17:50:07, 16/04/07 »
I'm coming to Manchester as an exchange student and I'm trying to find out which areas are best to live and which ones aren't recommendable and why. Please don't recommend me any posh areas, I'm a student so I won't be able to afford it.

Any help's appreciated.

Reminds me of the time we went to  a Taste of the West show at Exeter and one of the 'Celebrity' chefs was from Merseyside. He introduced himself as coming from a quiet little hamlet in Liverpool called Toxteth. I was the only one to laugh...everyone else looked puzzled!! ???

Did you live in Congleton?? I nearly got on the wrong bus at Knutsford years ago and that would have took me to Congleton. Sadly that is the nearest I have ever been to it!! ;D
