Movies made in Manchester
« on: 17:26:31, 26/04/07 »
The Pride of Manchester website shows details of movies that were in Manchester. As well as producing the best actors, Manchester has also been the location for some of the best vintage cinema to be made in the UK. Even big Hollywood productions have used the back drop of the city to emulate the mean streets of New York. Pride of Manchester brings you the legacy of Manchester movies and the men who filmed there.

This is a really interesting site!! Thanks for posting the link Christopher.
I notice there is mention of George Formby on there. My Father was adamant that we once lived across the road from George Formby's Mother (or was it Grandmother??) and he used to see him visit.  :o
