Manchester nightlife on sundays

Hi,
 
Myself and a few friends are coming up to Manchester to watch the ashes on Sunday at Old Trafford.
 
Can anyone advise on a good night out on a Sunday in Manchester. What bars/clubs are busiest?

To be honest, the centre of Manchester is usually dead on a Sunday evening, with a lot of pubs closing early.

I suppose it's allways been like that Pete. with people working Monday.
 Have't been out in town for yonks!
