Will we soon have a majority rule by Muslims in manchester in the next decade?
We have seen the first protest of do not sell Israeli goods , how long before the demands are
Only halal meat?


Will we see the Muslim population ruling the majority of the people with there demands first.
I'm not saying this to be controversial if we had as many Hindus here or Buddhist monks I would be asking the same of them.


So the question is are Muslims in the next few decades going to rule manchester or will the so called melting pot of diversity make them adopt western values ?

Most of us have been eating Halal meat for years. However the majority of us didn't know it. I don't have a problem with eating Kosher or Halal meat. However it would have been nice if I had been informed and not had it foisted upon me by the major supermarkets and others, who until it was pointed out, chose not to inform the buying public.

I was in conversation with an ice cream salesman in Manchester some years ago (blimey! 1980s) and his closing comment seemed very strange to me at the time, " Well, let's face it, we'll all be Muslims one day"

Puggy, its funny how some things stick in the mind. About 1960 my father in law said ,petrol would be 1£ a gallon, I could hardly stop myself from laughing, as then it was about 5bob a gallon.       he must be up there now, laughing his socks off.

Good point even Muslims didn't know they were all halal they kept it that secret, I do think myself they sold it because it was halal I think it was on sale because they could buy it really cheap.
Most of the meat was horse any way so how many horses were given the halal ceremony I wonder.

 In our local paper this week there was a photograph of some members of the Pakistani community celebrating with local councillors and the Lord Mayor, the 67th anniversary of Pakistan`s Independance Day.
 I am puzzled as to why this is celebrated in this countryand by people who have chosen to leave their native homeland to live in the very country from which their beloved homeland gained independance some 67 years ago .!!!
The Pakistani flag was raised and a reception was held. I really can`t see why it was necessary to do that here and with the co-operation of leading members of the elected council too!
 It is a shame such prominence was not given to a lovely event  in a nearby town which is in the circulation area too, but despite being notified no reporter came, so no write-up, no photographs and no letters of praise and appreciation were published --- and some were sent in, I know `cos I wrote one myself!!! This event attracted hundreds of visitors as against 30  people attending the  reception marking the 67th  anniversary  of Pakistan gaining independance from us. I  really am puzzled! Joynson.

For a country they celebrate independence from us they have had a lot of Marshall law.

How independent is that I wonder.
