Can Manchester be green?
« on: 16:38:16, 15/06/07 »
- We all know what effect global warming is having and will have.

- How can manchester take a leading role in reducing its carbon emissions ?

Is the congestion charge going to improve the public transport ?

Should we even have the congestion charge?

Other issues and suggestions welcome

the thing with congestion charges, people subscribe to it when it starts as it will prob ably be £5 or thereabouts, and then within five years it could escalate to between £15 and £20, so if I had to park in town I would be against it, also if I drove into town once a week to shop it would put me off, so  I would think the retailers would  be against it also, they really should make public transport more viable

Making Public Transport viable applies to most places I think. Not only is it expensive and inconvenient it can also be an unpleasant experience. :(
