13, 15, 20 and 23 are eluding me, and I'm a bit iffy on 17 and 21.  Going for a think......  ;)
It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

I thought Worcester for 17, but the sauce is Worcestershire, which is a county, not a town, so I am not certain.  Lincoln occurred to me last night, but is Washington also a town up North?

20, I am just not seeing.  I shall probably go "AAAAARGHHH!" and kick myself when it's something dead obvious, but so far, hat, scarf, blanket, rug, heater..... oh b*gger me, it's Cardigan, isn't it?    ;D ;D ;D

It does say if an alternative fits it will be accepted - the son thought it might be Washington

I can't recall the answer for 21 otherwise I think I've remembered them all :-\

We didn't win the quiz prize - a bit of nitpicking methinks

we got every answer right except for 'what tree can be found in bottles?' - the answer was lime or gum

explanation - 'the cork is not a tree, it's the bark of the cork oak tree'

so!! ::)

anyway the quiz raised £45.50 but the Winter Fair raised £4,100

What can be found in a bottle?  GUM?  ???  Lime is a fairly poor answer for that, because you could argue just as well for orange, lemon, apple, pear and a load of others  - but Gum is just silly.

I agree Cups, and all the other variations were not as clever as cork

it seems like we should give three answers to each question just in case ::)

It did occur to me but I thought at the time that cork was better - as I said, more than one answer is sometimes needed
