Why just ‘gay’ tours? If it’s because you think ‘gays’ are different, I’m not ‘gay’, so to you I’M different! I trust you get my point!

hi peter.the reason behind the the tours for american gays is we were approached by a gay american who was a publishing director of tour magazine. he said he could not undrstand why no one was doing tours for gays in the north west of england, when there was so much to offer with our history. thats the reason why we set up northerntoursonline. we also cater for straights, and bi sexual for people all over the world. so to answer your question we cater are tours for anybody and everybody, so if you would like to take a 14 day tour visting the sights and sounds of northern england, do come along check out are web site on www.northerntoursonline.co.uk.

Thanks Jack64. Your explanation makes a lot of sense. I’d like to do one of your Northern tours but at the age of 77 I have to tell you I’ve been there, done it and got the t-shirt! I also did America for six months, way back in time when Boston Baked Beans presented one hour of Bing Crosby on radio. Too old now, I’m afraid — although I was in Detroit last week on business.

I wonder, being in the tour business could you answer me a question? It might sound a bit daft, but why do the majority of airlines weigh baggage but don’t weigh passengers? They must have a maximum limit to the weight they carry.

Best wishes

PeterW

They have an ingenious filtering mehanism. Anyone too heavy will find it impossible to fit in the standard class seats. I'm normal build, but still find it a squeeze. The alternative is to pay extra for a wider 1st class seat.

Why come from San Franscisco, to tour Canal Street, they do not need a tour, or a guide. They run the place.

Hello Jack,

I applaud your initiative and I hope that your tours are a resounding success. Before I retired I regularly took people on tours of Manchester and the surrounding areas, and Manchester and the North West have got a lot to offer visitors. The yearly Manchester Pride weekend attracts visitors from all over the world. There are not many places nicer to enjoy a drink on a warm summer afternoon in Manchester than sitting outside one of the bars on Canal St. in the Village.

I am a heterosexual grandfather and greatgrandfather. I find your remark offensive. You should be celebrating the fact that our beautiful city is world famous for it's tolerence to all people, regardless of their race, creed, colour, or sexual orientation.  O0

Why should people be coerced to like something they find distasteful?

They shouldn't.  Everyone is entitled to their own feeling and opinions, and anyone who doesn't like the idea of gay sex has an absolute right to not take part in any.  I certainly won't be.  But the fact that I don't fancy it doesn't mean I have the right to stop those who do.  I really can't stand curry, but I don't want to shut down Rusholme...... ;D   Manchester is brilliant for "live and let live" - always has been, and I hope it always will be.

It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

Adsum, what i find offensive, is i am forced to either agree with your views or not have one of my own. Anyone who does not, is not allowed to have an open opinion and that is called positive discrimination. At what age do you tell your grand or great-grandchildren been gay is normal and acceptable?

I am not going to get involved in a slanging match with you, and this will be my last word on the subject. You are entitled to your opinions, and I defend your right to say them. Just I am entitled to say if I consider them to be offensive and outmoded.

Coerce     To Compel by force, intimidation, or authority, especially without regard for individual desire or volition.

Homophobia      Unreasoning fear of or antipathy towards homosexuals and homosexuality.

I do not have to tell my grandchildren that "Being Gay is normal and acceptable". The laws of this country tell them that. Whether you agree with the law or not.

We can all read a dictionary and find the definition of words but i struggled to find any law that states been gay is normal?
