Louis van Gaal on the brink

How much longer does Louis van Gaal have at United? According to a host of newspaper columnists, it's a matter of days, perhaps even hours, before he gets his marching orders.

United are in a terrible run of form - they've lost their last three and haven't won in six. It's the kind of sequence the Reds simply can't tolerate.

Jose Mourinho, dismissed himself by Chelsea last week, says he wants another job as quickly as possible. Given he coveted the position when Sir Alex Ferguson retired, he's now favourite to succeed Van Gaal, should the Dutchman get the boot.

Stay with us here for all the latest on that, as well as reported interest in Real Madrid's Gareth Bale.

Couldn't agree more Celeste. It's no fun having to q up for your dole money, being a few minutes late to be told you've missed your appointment, so you're getting nowt this week. :(

Ask Jose, he's been signing on for the last fortnight ;D

I texted BBC Five live about three weeks ago saying Jose wanted to be sacked, as Old Trafford awaits him.

I did hear that he'd parted company with Chelsea by mutual consent, I can't figure out what's wrong with United atm

We should remember how many managers United had between Matt Busby and Ferguson, before it all came together.
