They are targeting places where there's a mass of people and they don't care if children are there, people in wheelchairs are there - anyone and everyone is a target

Manchester explosion leaves 22 dead: latest updates

There has not been an official claim of responsibility for the Manchester attack from any terror group but supporters of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) celebrated the bombing on social media.

Isil supporters hailed the bombing as a victory against "the crusaders" of the West. In one video an English-speaking supporter of Isil held up a home made sign with the word "Manchester" and the date of the attack.

"This is only the beginning. The lions of Islamic State of Iraq and Sham are beginning to attack all the crusaders," the masked man said in the short video.

Chief Constable says he will be meeting with community leaders to "address their fears", there is only one community they are seeking to reassure.

I love travelling around and visiting new cities both here and abroad, and I've seen some very impressive ones, but when it comes to the people, I am proud to have been brought up close to and to work in the very best city of all.

Well done, Street Cars et al.

I know it's a stretch even by todays standard to describe failed X factor numpty Steve Brookstein as a "celeb" but this cretin has been on twitter blaming the Tories for carrying out this outrage in order to improve their chances in the election.  :idiot2: :idiot2:

Two words, self publicity. Jason Manford has been blubbing on facebook that if he had known Ms Grande was appearing he could have been there with his daughters. What does that even mean? I'm sorry to seem insensitive but I feel bloody angry and I'm sick of hearing politicians same old platitudes. >:(
