I see our wonderful Mayor has said he won't agree to meet Donald Trump if he visits Greater Manchester, I'll bet the President will be gutted to miss out on the opportunity of meeting such a (self) important person.

The Evening News reports that Greater Manchester council tax payers are going to have to stump up £10 per household to pay for the office of the Lord Mayor, and how much next year?.......... And so it begins

Ah. The mayor the good folk of Manchester didn’t want, you know the one who lives in Cheshire. Still can’t place him? The one who trained to be a doctor but found out that being a highwayman is more lucrative yes that’s the one.

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/15891474.CONFIRMED____7_Andy_Burnham_charge_could_be_added_to_council_tax_bills/?ref=mr&lp=4
COUNCIL taxpayers could face a increase in their bill by more than £16 to pay for policing and Andy Burnham’s mayoral office.
The Greater Manchester mayor has confirmed plans to raise the police element of council tax by an average of £9.33 per year, in addition to a new average £7 mayoral precept — an overall precept rise of more than nine per cent.
Mr Burnham has pledged that the policing cash will being used to recruit 50 new neighbourhood police officers, maintain PCSO numbers, and improve the 101 service.

The plod were a waste of time before the Tories came to power
As for trusting Burnham, I trust him to squeeze the people that work for a living to subsidise those who don't while telling you everything you want to hear, that's socialism.
