Because they hate Manchester City. The main problem with ‘Citeh’ (as the club’s detractors like to call them) is that they come from outside the long established order of merit in football, which is becoming increasingly corrupt with every passing year. This is the reason why numerous voices within EUFA and beyond have been calling for ‘Wild Card’ entries for clapped out has-been members of the aristocracy like the two clubs based in Milan, who have achieved burger all for donkeys years.

In all honesty, though, it would really have stuck in the craw if the Dippers had landed a treble without scoring a goal in either of the domestic cup finals. It wouldn’t feel right for anybody who isn’t one of their supporters.
