City v Real Madrid tonight,  are they at home?

At home? At sea, more like!

Never mind. In all honesty I will be surprised if we win anything at all this time around, we are having a seriously bad season and this is likely the result of Pep being badly distracted in his personal life. I understand what he is going through, and I'm sure most other people who have experienced divorce understand it, too. The nagging thoughts, the sleepless nights, the bittersweet memories, the anger mixed with regret, the constant self-examination. It's not a good combination, and he probably feels as exhausted as I do right now.

There is always the next campaign to look forward to. 🤞

Sometimes things work out for the best, I didn't know Pep had family problems, callers to Talk Sport were putting the result down to Rhodri not
playing. :-\

Newcastle United have just won their first domestic trophy since the FA Cup in 1955. Seventy years, but I reckon the Geordies won't care while they celebrate tonight. 🍾🥂🍺

If the Dippers don't win it then the Gonners will instead. I think the Dippers are slightly less intolerable.

My pal Chalky is so chuffed with Newcastle he's going to dump his old bwTV and go for colour.

I bought our large screen TV for the football,  does make a difference,  hoped to watch Serie a or La Liga but rarely on.

They might have been steamrollered at Newcastle on Sunday, but at least the Rags are mathematically safe from relegation now.

Not such a bad season, I suppose.......
