The people that vote in these useless councillors time and time again need to find the kahuna's to break the habit and get someone in to hold the council to account instead of a one party rule exists now.
But I'm confident Andy Pandy will singlehandedly turn Manchester into everyone's idea of utopia  ;D

Bring back the old fashioned street sweepers !

Have the council provide screens of some sort to hide the multitude of wheely bins parked outside the front of everyones houses  overflowing with rubbish .

I visited home just after Christmas ( after a 12 yr break ) and I was shocked by the amount of litter on the streets . This was around Middleton,Harpurhey Crumpsall, and Collyhurst,... it may be less of a problem elsewhere in Manchester .

Spot on about the bins, where I live, on a terraced street, a few people on our row leave their bins in the small front gardens at the front of the houses because they are too bloody lazy to wheel them up the alley on bin day, next door has a huge dog and they put it's faeces into the bin and when the weather is warm it's pretty ripe at our front door, it's disgusting.

Bins outside houses are an eyesore, yes some sort screen should be given to hide them, I have an archway at the side of the house and I hide mine behind it.

Talking of eyesores, the wall which surrounds half of Piccadilly gardens, it wouldn't cost that much to grow ivy or something to cover it, it would give a 'green' look and visitors arriving by train wouldn't have to see it.

Xenophobia? I don't see what's xenophobic about not allowing mass immigration into a society that doesn't require it to maintain itself. It's one of the main reasons why public services are stretched imo, but it's easier  to blame an "ageing population," you know the one's that worked and paid in all their lives

perhaps cc can tell me of a country in which I can roll up to bypassing several other countries and claim benefits and free housing, I did state in my post ,that I was for zero immigration unless they had the MEANS to support themselves and their families , like the Australian policy , but I suppose that’s “xenophobic, to some,

Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer to that one, Parky. You're in for a very long silence.

And by the way, folks, don't be cowed into silence any longer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a reasoned opinion or a sensible observation that is supported, at least to some degree, by verifiable evidence. And if it goes against the grain of the prevailing state approved left-wing orthodoxy, then that's tough for them.

There is too much at stake to allow a climate of fear to extinguish rational discussion any longer. Speak your truth, and don't be intimidated by fascists or Establishment gofers and lackeys.

How and why do foreigners and the removal of them make manchester a better place to live?

Are you talking about the Israeli  Jews in Prestwich?
Are you talking about the  pakistanis in cheetham hill and long sight?
Are you talking about Irish in levenshulme?
Are you talking about the nigerans in openshaw?

Exactly who are you wanting to be sent back to where ever?
