The wife of a great-grandfather who disappeared after going for a walk more than a month ago has issued a desperate plea for help to find him.

Peter Baglin was last seen in CCTV at a garage in Mosley Common near Worsley, Greater Manchester, on 28 December.

The 55-year-old's phone, hat and headphones were found on a towpath beside the Bridgewater Canal the following day.

Michelle Baglin said: "There have been no sightings. It's like he's vanished."

Extensive police searches have been made including by teams specialising in mountain rescue and underwater searches, with drones also used.

Mrs Baglin also organised her own searches along the canal, with more than 200 people attending to help.

Not a sign of Mr Baglin has been found, Greater Manchester Police said.

The M.E.N. headline today is about Nicola Bulley, I hope that there is some news for her family and friends soon, however I don't see any updates regarding Mr Baglin.

Quote Parky:
"Apparently there is a caravan park near where Nicola burley went missing."

Police have now been spotted turning their attention to a local caravan site, which is believed to be one of several CCTV 'blind spots' identified in the search for Ms Bulley. It comes as police officers are reportedly widening their investigation to include the day before she went missing.

I would have thought that would have been searched much earlier.

Last seen at a garage,  does that mean he set out in a car,  if so, has it been located.

Hope it's not a canal mystery.

Police searching for a man who went missing almost 10 weeks ago say they have found human remains.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the family of Peter Baglin, 55, of Boothstown, Salford, have been informed.

Officers were searching an area near the Bridgewater Canal at about 10:48 GMT on Saturday when the discovery was made.

Police said the death is being treated as unexplained.
