yes but football fans don’t park their cars in the middle of the road and then leave them , but of course the police won’t attend for fear of a riot happening

I used to go to a supplier in Cheetham Hill for work materials, on Friday afternoons I couldn't get my van on the car park because the mosque was full of 'em, the manageress of the firm had given up asking them not to park on the property as it was for patrons only, and they just ignored her, she informed me that the wardens had told her that they don't even ticket them on yellow lines anymore because they don't respond to them.

I'm sure you find the same at any big event ,have you ever seen old Trafford on match day roads shut down residents can't drive in or out.

And the police are paid a handsome wage to make sure it runs properly.

Maybe the answer is any one wishing to prey in the park the police should organise the event.

I think this was a first and spur of the moment gathering .I don't think the intention was to cause any one any bother.

and they could fine all those who break the rules - 'a nice little earner' for the police if that happens

not when there is a chance of a full scale disturbance

I don't believe they would risk spoiling the importance of EID, isn't it supposed to be a joyous occasion?

In fact the organizers should be responsible for issuing directives

It’s only a minority that actually cause the problems on wilmslow road Celeste . the majority of the people are just enjoying themselves with their families , but it only takes a small spark such as police towing cars away that escalates and the police are not prepared to risk it

Preying in the park, what an unfortunate turn of phrase, considering the subject matter,

I was thinking that a road barrier could be put up and then people could make their way on foot  but without  seeing a road map I can't see a way round the problem, is there a school or field where cars could be left? :-\
